Born in the Middle of the mitten state Justin Judge grew up on the banks of

Chippewa River or as his Grandpa would say Gods neck of the woods. In 2012 as a freshman in high school Justin picked up his first guitar, little did he know it would lead him to record later on in Nashville. Growing up on 70’s 80’s rock he never saw himself singing country music. That would change quick after hearing two iconic country songs of his generation Homeboy by Eric Church and Dirt Road Anthem by Jason Aldean. Inspired by his upbringing and life’s experiences he began his country music journey. Writing songs of heartbreak, growing up, and life. Justin is known for his authentic, raw and emotional storytelling ability throughout his songs.

Louie Lee

Sometimes change rips through and changes things forever. For Louie Lee, change ripped through his youth multiple times. His parents' marriage fell apart when he was just a child, leading him to grow up in a trailer park outside of Detroit, watching his mother work tirelessly as she held down 3 jobs to make ends meet. Witnessing her efforts Louie Lee learned the importance of drive and to never give up, even with his own struggle with hearing impairment.

Within the tightly-knit trailers surrounded by the hum of cars on the highway and the gritty sounds of Detroit. Louie Lee found a sense of community which inspired multiple perspectives leading to a diversification of music styles over the years, from metal, hip hop, rock, pop, and country.

But it wasn't until his Grandfather’s passing would he find a new voice. A voice which would win him the "Song of the Year" award at the Detroit Music Awards in 2022 and inspire a massive explosion of songs built on his story of hard work, determination, and a relentless commitment to his craft. Louie Lee’s voice is the centerpiece of his music, expressive and emotive with a raw honesty that is captivating. The sound Louie Lee dubbed “Country Hop & Roll” is an amalgamation of the genres which inspire him.

Michael Root

My name is Michael Root. I’ve been doing acoustic shows all over Michigan for the last two and a half years. I’m originally from Texas, but moved to Michigan right after I graduated from high school. I have been singing in public since I was 18. At 19, I tried out for the Voice and got a callback. I tried out again recently and got a callback again, but didn’t make the show either time.

During COVID, my job was shut down so I used the time to teach myself how to play guitar. Since then I’ve been doing acoustic shows. I have finished writing five songs so far and am in the process of getting them recorded. If you’d like to see me perform in person all my shows are listed on my Facebook page, Michael Root Music. On March 19, I performed at the Capitol Theater in Flint for the Flint Institute of Music (FIM) Under the Stars program. Last September I put on a Country Music Festival to benefit the Special Olympics. I’ll also be the Saturday night headliner at the Potopia Festival in Marcellus, Michigan this August.

Dustin Walford

Dustin Frank Walford grew up in the small town of Onaway in northern MI. He spent most of his free time playing his guitar with his older brothers and step father. When he wasn’t playing his guitar he’d be riding his bike for miles with his friends. After school Dustin moved to Rochester HIlls, MI and started his own flooring installation company.

Dustin’s love for music only grew stronger when his two younger children shared a love for it as well.

In 2018 Dustin started writing his own music. His love for performing grew when he’d see people singing and dancing along while he sang and played guitar. Now that he’s spent the last few years practicing new covers and writing his own music. He’s  ready to jump into being a performing artist.

Chad Flores

Chad Flores, is a Mexican-American Country artist, born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan, in 1989. By the age of 5, his obsession with country artists, such as George Strait and Clint Black, was apparent to everyone. He enjoyed dressing as a "Cowboy", and performing with a plastic guitar, for friends, and family. In 6th grade, Chad, and a drummer classmate, performed in a talent show as a 2 piece band. They covered Lynyrd Skynyrd's, Sweet Home Alabama, and won 1st place! Since then, he’s known performing on stage is what he was born to do. By 8th grade, the now 4 piece band, known as Insubordination, began regularly playing out doing 4 hour cover shows. It was nearly unheard of being so young. The band played up to 40 weekends a year, all through high school . They disbanded a couple years after high school. Chad then joined legendary Grand Rapids based country band, Backwoods Thunder. At 20 years old, he was the veteran musician in the band, with over 400 shows under his belt. After 2 years they split up, and he set out to make his own mark on Country music! In March of 2019, Chad went to Nashville to record his debut Single "Strut" with legendary producer, Larry Beaird. In May, Chad filmed the music video for the song, with Emmy nominated Director, Sam Logan K., In Detroit. Chad writes all of his own songs and music. Chads Single “Put My hands on you” is in Heavy Rotation on Cadillacs 96.7 The BULL. 100.7 WITL In Lansings Host JR named Chad his “Next Rising Star” choice.

Chad has opened for multiple artists including: Eli Young Band, Creed Fisher, Chris Young, Lee Brice, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Randy Houser, Justin Moore, James Otto, Josh Thompson, Craig Campbell, and several other country artists. He’s also opened for Rock artists such as Seether, Black Stone Cherry, Saliva, etc..

Cooper Johnson

Still in his teens, Cooper Johnson is already making waves as a rising star on the Michigan country music scene.

Cooper’s journey into music began early, influenced by his stepfather’s band. From the time he was just a toddler up to middle school, he grew up surrounded by music - listening to his stepdad's band rehearsing in the basement.

The small towns in Michigan are full of like-minded people who love hunting, fishing, and getting rowdy. I spent my childhood building forts, hunting, and walking through the mud,” Cooper says. It's those real-life backwoods experiences that deeply influence his sound and storytelling.

When Cooper performs, his goal is simple: to make people smile and forget about their troubles. He wants to create an experience that lifts people up, especially those who might be having a tough week. "I like to think that I can be the happiness people need for a few hours," he shares. His connection with the audience makes his performances unforgettable.

Brady Sharrow

Brady is a 17-year-old from Bay City who attends John Glenn High School.

Brady is an aspiring singer/songwriter who looks and sounds like he has been on stage for years. In all actuality, he is just starting, Brady has just appeared on stage a couple times. Just enough for Al Garcia to want him as an MCE artist.

Still learning music and what it takes to be an artist, Brady continues to learn music. Not enough yet for a full-time gig yet but enough to open shows for some of MCE's more accomplished artists like Louie Lee and Cooper Johnson.

Given time, we are sure that he will be making music full-time!

"My dream is to become a full-time professional country singer songwriter. I'm hoping to make this my career."

Influenced by the greats of country music like Randy Travis and Keith Whitley along with current star Cody Johnson, Brady appears to be on the way.

Elvis was another inspiration.  "When I was younger, I was an Elvis impersonator, I used to perform a ton when I was young, way too many times to count!"

Brady continues to expand his music picking up acoustic guitar and is a quick learner on the drums.

"I needed him on the team, the first time I heard him, He is damn good for his age." Al Garcia said.

Expect big things from this kid in 2026.

MCE will help him reach his goals. The skies the limit.

Jason Harper

Jason Harper has been a singer/songwriter and performer since he was just a teenager. With much of his family originally hailing from Tennessee, but himself growing up in Detroit, Harper has developed a very unique musical style that pulls from multiple influences. Growing up listening to gospel, country, Motown, and rock n roll, Harper’s vocal approach and stylings have a quality that make him a consistently sought after performer.

After stepping away from creating, Harper has decided to move back into the songwriting arena and perform those songs for his growing audience, with a mature approach that highlights his unique background.

THE DIRTY LAUNDRY BAND

The Dirty Laundry Band is a 4-piece Country and Country Rock cover band from mid-Michigan, that has grown to be a popular act for those seeking popular country and classic country music, with big guitar sounds and great vocal harmonies.

Formed in 2019 by the husband and wife team of Ray and Kyle Edward, along with their good friend Aaron Pangborn, the band set out to become a “rock band that plays country music,” an effort to blend Ray’s love for guitar-driven music and Kyle’s love for 90s-current country music.

Once the band started gaining momentum, drummer Greg Towery, a well-established veteran of the Lansing music scene, joined to complete the lineup.

Just as the band began to gain popularity, the COVID pandemic shutdown nearly every avenue for playing live music in front of fans. In an effort to stay connected to the outside world, the Dirty Laundry Band began to stream short sets via Facebook Live, usually acoustic versions of some of Kyle’s and Ray’s favorite songs.

This kept the fire alive, and when the shutdown was lifted the band returned to playing live as often as they could. They have spent the past 5 years choosing songs for their live sets, and growing the show to have the ability to play several hours of popular country music, along with some fun rock and roll if the occasion calls for it.

The band always strives to put on an energetic show and loves to hear the crowd sing along!
